Custody
Who HOLDS each item and who KNOWS each secret over the scenes - authored, drawn exactly as written.
Custody
Authored - this chart draws your custody pages exactly as written. No AI interpretation in the chart, ever. (You author the pages under Writing Custody; this rail reads them.)
Each topic page's custody block, drawn exactly as you declared it - where an item or a piece of information travels. Items are a baton (one holder at a time - a gain takes it from the previous holder). Information is a contagion (knowledge spreads; AUDIENCE is a lane, the faint tints are mystery/suspense). The purpose: learn the audience's experience - when the reader learns what, and how long the suspense windows run.

Custody of Red Hare across the volumes: the horse changing hands, with the audience lane beneath.
How it gets built
| 1 · Write | Scenes + world pages first - custody is a revision-phase (2nd/3rd draft) tool. |
| 2 · Run analysis | Extraction observes possession/knowledge events. |
| 3 · Create the page | From an analysis suggestion (drafts the Timeline from observed events - data, not AI) or the + button. |
| 4 · Curate | Edit the Timeline - add, correct, delete lines. The chart mirrors it verbatim. |
| 5 · Iterate | Re-runs never touch your page; analysis keeps watching and flags divergence. |
The grammar - three verbs
| gain · who: [x] | item: x replaces the holder(s) · information: x now knows it |
| lost · who: [x] | item (no who): destroyed/vanished · information: x forgets it |
| lost · who: [public] | a global event - destruction or mass amnesia |
| public | everyone in-world knows |
| scene: start | true before page one (e.g. Claudius always knew) |
| gain · who: [audience] | declares when the reader learns it |
