Configuration

Two tiers of settings, kept deliberately separate: preferences that follow you, and metadata that belongs to the project.

Getting these mixed up is the usual source of confusion, so the split is worth stating plainly.

A preference like theme or whether timing tags are visible is yours. It never rides along when you share a project. Anything that describes the work itself, like its language or medium, lives in the project folder so that a collaborator opening your folder sees the same thing you do.
