Terms of Service

By downloading or using Novel Visual Studio (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License

The app is proprietary software, © 2026 neldivad. You are granted a personal or commercial license to install and use the app on devices you control. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app. This is a license to use the software, not a sale of it.

Your content is yours

We claim no rights over anything you write with the app. Your manuscripts, scenes, notes, and their analysis are yours. Because the app is local-first, they stay on your disk (see the privacy policy).

AI features, keys, and output

• AI features are optional and require your own third-party API key or account. You are responsible for that account, its usage, and any costs the provider charges you. We are not a party to that relationship and do not bill you for AI usage.
• AI-generated output is provided for your own use and judgment. It may be inaccurate and is not professional, legal, or other expert advice. You are responsible for reviewing it and for how you use it.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to violate the law or the rights of others, or to process content you have no right to. Downloadable example works provided through the app carry their own licenses and provenance; you are responsible for how you use them.

As-is; no warranty; liability

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for data loss, arising from your use of the app; and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app (which, for a free beta, is zero). Keep your own backups of your work.
